Visitor record is an authorization to legally stay in Canada for a given amount of time.

In order to be eligible for a visitor record, you must satisfy the following requirements:

  • You must have sufficient financial resources to support yourself and to pay for your return flight ticket;
  • You must be admissible to Canada;
  • You must intend to leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay.

ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION (ETA)

An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is a recently introduced entry requirement for all visa-exempt foreign nationals (including workers, students and visitor) traveling to Canada by air. Travelers arriving by land or sea do not need an eTa. An eTA costs $7 and is valid for up to five years.
