Francophone Mobility Program

The Francophone Mobility Work Permit simplifies the process for Canadian employers to hire French-speaking individuals without requiring a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), provided they meet specific criteria and intend to reside and work outside the province of Quebec.

Overview

This program is open to individuals from any country who possess intermediate French language skills. You don't need to be a citizen of a French-speaking country to apply. The employer-specific work permit can be issued for up to four years.

Eligibility

To qualify for this program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Satisfy the standard eligibility criteria for a work permit.
  • Reside and work outside Quebec.
  • Demonstrate your ability to speak and understand French at an intermediate level, which is equivalent to an NCLC level 5 or higher. You don’t need to prove your writing or reading skills.
  • Have a job offer from a Canadian employer. The position doesn’t need to be high-level skilled. Any position will meet the requirements except for primary agriculture occupations.

If you believe you meet the eligibility criteria for this program, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are here to assist you.
